6th Meliá Las Américas Golf Cup

From 15 to 18 May 2019, the Sixth Meliá Las Américas Golf Cup will be taking place, organised by Meliá Cuba at the only hotel with direct access to the Varadero Golf Club. The first Gentlemen's category will be played in stroke-play format. The second Gentlemen's category and both Ladies' categories, on the other hand, will be played in Stableford format, grouped according to Handicap.

CATEGORIES
- 1st Gentlemen's Category, 0 to 14 Hcp
- 2nd Gentlemen's Category, 15 to 26 Hcp
- Gentlemen Super Seniors (70 years and older 0-36 Hcp)
- 1st Ladies' Category, 0 to 14 Hcp
- 2nd Ladies' Category, 15 to 36 Hcp
- Ladies Super Seniors (70 years and older 0-36 Hcp)

PRIZES
- The first and second best net score of each category will be awarded with trophies and golf items.
- Best gross score of ladies and gentlemen will be awarded with trophies and golf items
- Prizes will also be awarded for various skills, such as the straightest drive, the longest drive and the closest to the flag.

RAFFLES
- There will be different raffles on the Prize Dinner celebration that will include Free Weeks of stay for two at Melia Las Américas and golf items

CONDITIONS

- The tournament is only open to professional or amateur golfers over 18 years of age.
- Players must present their Handicap endorsed by the club or Association to which they belong.
- The tournament is open to players with a Handicap of 26 or below for men, and of 36 or below for women.
- The tournament will be played according to the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and to local rules, which will be provided to the participants as appropriate.
- The use of golf carts is obligatory.

CONDITIONS

- Amateur golfers over 18 years of age may participate
- All green fees are included at The Varadero Golf Club. Use of the golf cart is mandatory
- Green fee at Habana Golf Club cost 30 cuc per person. No Golf Carts on this course
- All competitions are optional

Registration Fee:
There is not a fee to participate. Players just pay for the golf cart, in case of playing 5 or more rounds, one golf cart is free
It is not included:
• Havana Excursion on September 21st, please contact meliagolf@meliacuba.com for prices
• Green Fee at Habana Golf Club on September 21st, Cost of de 30 cuc per person. Trolley, 10 cuc per person(limited quantity)
• Cocktail on September 22nd, (Cuban Member vs Guest event), extra cost of 15 cuc per person

11th Meliá Cuba Golf Cup

The traditional Meliá Cuba Golf Cup, which in 2019 will be held for the eleventh time, is a specialist annual event, offering golfers the opportunity to enjoy their sport over the 18 holes of the finest green in Cuba. The Cup is held at the Varadero Golf Club, a narrow stretch, parallel to the beach, of more than 60 hectares, with playing areas, forests of native vegetation and lagoons, making it an enormously attractive setting. The Meliá Las Américas hotel, which has been hosting the event since it was first held, is a 5 Star, adult-only resort.
The tournament is played in stroke-play format for the first Gentlemen's and Ladies' categories, and in Stableford format for the second categories.
